It all started as a case of mistaken identity, but I won't go into too much detail just in case I get in trouble :D They were high school sweet hearts. Nia was/is THAT token hot, awesome and lovely Asian chick that (according to Johan) all the boys in high school had a crush on. Aftering having finished his high schooling, being the adventurous, crazy, creative, rebellious and romantic guy he is, Johan broke into his high school and hung a banner up between two trees saying "BE MINE, NIA!!!". He successfully won over her heart. However, Nia was called into the principal's office to be interrogated about the suspected trespasser but being the honest gentleman that he is, Johan called in and dobbed himself in. He didn't care, he won over his woman!

... A few years later in the middle of the night Johan and a bunch of his mates trekked out to Narrabean beach with pails of paint and paint rollers. He painted THIS (click the link, you'll be smacked in the face with rebellious romantic'ness) and the next day got on one knee and asked his Nia to do him the honour of being his wife... *cue for all the girls to go AWWWHHHHH and slap their loved ones and say, WHY AREN'T YOU LIKE HIM?*
