There is something endearing about taking photographs of people who have spent the past decade together - you get to see glimpses of giddy, young love in their interaction and be able to document it! Time does not dissolve young affections. Wow, that was profound...

We had a ripper of a time on our shoot. We ended up not shooting at our proposed locations (simply because we all just didn't "feel" it when we arrived there), but decided to totally just wing it, jump in the car and see where the light took us!! And after a tonne of laughs, close calls, adrenaline pumping, the sun dipped over the horizon and we all thought... HECK LET'S KEEP GOING!! Not sure about them, but I sure felt that way!! :D :D :D

MY HAT! Many apologies for neglecting the bloggity blog. I have been plagued by last minute work (mainly a tonne of album designs) before charging head first into the busy wedding season! Can I haz a forgiveness?

I'm actually on my "week off". Originally I was hoping to go interstate, however, due to not having any travel buddies (cue for crowd to go "awwwhhhh") and also a lack of a solo adventurous spirit, I will be trying my best to stay away from work. As blogging isn't necessarily deemed as "work", I thought I might give you a teaser as to what is to come this week. I will try my best to post 3 entries. Ahh, watch me fail at my own challenge! But I thank everyone who has been visiting and throwing sticks at me to post something - I am definitely feeling the love.

Lauren (affectionately known as Selby) and Chris (a.k.a Skewa) are a rad couple. They are the kind of people who would make you feel like family within seconds of knowing them. They met at church during their high school years at youth group. They love their friends, family and Skewa's cat "Kitteh".

When I rocked up on the wedding day, Selby was already dressed, prepped and ready to get married. She was beaming! She was ready to marry her best friend. You can tell they love each other, stacks... :D

They first met at university. Linda is shy, quiet and sweet - a reflection of the loving/close knit Italian family she comes from. Nashie is loud, bold, an absolute cracker, who at one stage had long blonde bad-boy-westy-hair. One day Nash gave her a lift home from uni; she sat upright, holding her bag tightly with her hands clasped on her lap as she looked out of her passenger window. Not because she feared that he would mug her, but rather, she has never been in a car alone with a guy. So as he continued on giving Linda a lift home, their friendship grew in trust, respect and love...

A few years later, her eyes were no longer looking out of the window and her hands were no longer clapsed tightly at her lap, but clasped tightly around the hand of her best friend... As they sat next to each other as husband and wife.

For months Tanja and I have been playing email tennis with one another. So it was somewhat fulfilling when we finally met up at a cafe in Olympic Park during her lunch break. We chatted. Laughed. And all was well! A couple of months later we met up again, at Pokolbin, this time with Mr Tom by her side. Tanja warned me that he is not a big fan of getting his photograph taken. I wasn't worried. They have been together for years and I knew that he would ease up next to his Tanja & he did! He is quiet, reserved and there is an air of masculinity that surrounds him. By the way Tanja would hold his hand, lean by his side, run along with him, you can tell she feels safe beside him. During the shoot I saw slithers of the boy and girl within them jump out from their faces. Moments where years of being together were compounded to seconds of rekindled child like love, were their eyes sparkled and their hearts were a flutter; where boy meets girl for the first time.

Thank you for allowing me a glimpse of that!

Welcome to the new and refined blog/brand for Linda Truong Photography.

This is a refreshing and exciting change for me, as for the past two years and a half I've been searching and struggling with my brand and identity as a glorified-permanent-tourist-with-big-cameras i.e photographer :D :D. I designed a logo and website to fit the stereotype of what wedding/portrait photographers presented and offered. By the end of 2009, I threw in the towel, waved the white flag and called for mercy, it was time for a massive rebrand...

Please have a stretch, grab a cuppa, sit down and scavenge through the blog for any eye treasures. I can't wait to show you all the things we have been up to (I've got about half a years worth of work waiting to be posted). But for the time being, please run through the site, "Like" images that you like :D [FACEBOOK style] and flick through the slides. I'm so excited for this new journey...

A big thank you to the awesome designers at Radar for producing a logo that totally cried out, LINDAAAA! They are uber friendly, helpful, efficient & creative. Also I would love to take this time to thank Cameron for his endless hours of work in developing this website. I greatly appreciate your time, helpfulness, creativity, patience, efficiency and awesomeness in taking on my hundreds & thousands of crazy requests and changes. It has been a delight working with you. If you are needing some design work, website development, biking advice, Cameron is the person to contact!!

I also thank my many friends, family, supporters, and stalkers in cognito. I am greatly humbled and blessed that so many people have been so deeply involved in my life, in shaping me, teaching me, and supporting me. Technically it's because of you, that I don't have a job... This really isn't a job for me :D I get paid for doing what I love. Yeewww! :D

Most importantly I thank the One who was pierced for my rebellion. Who thankfully doesn't think that we are imaginary. Who is constantly sustaining this world by His love and mercy. Jesus is tops!

They met at Summer School out at Katoomba; where they taught hundreds of kids about Jesus. They were extremely smitten with one another at first sight (who wouldn't be?). After a couple of days of getting to know one another, hearts were pounding, hands were clammy; Chloe instinctively reached out and held Ed's hand during a talk and Ed was pretty stoked (who wouldn't be?). Two years later they were back at Summer School at Katoomba. Hearts were still pounding, hands were still clammy, Edward instinctively reached out and asked Chloe to be his wife...

I love these two people.

It's always daunting to take photographs of another photographer. Chloe has been a faithful intern/assistant of mine for about a year. So when we travelled down to the Southern Highlands, my heart was pounding, but they worked their magic infront of the camera and my leg was kicking.

ARLLF (A random Ling Ling fact): When something fantastic happens infront of the camera, I can't help put kick the air with excitement.
